There is also no time limit in TL 2 and no leaderboards. Whether you’re looking for a new ARPG, or just a little more time with an old favorite, Torchlight 2 won’t let you down.1 - While both games have random dungeons as part of the endgame and you can start NG+ with stronger monsters, in TL 2's case, the most you can go is lvl 105 in the mapworks and lvl 190 in Tarroch's tomb (NG+ on). I lost hours and days to this game with a blink. Torchlight 2 is easily as good as you remember.

While a lot of the game is basically fighting enemies, collecting loot, and repeat, if you’re into games like the Diablo series you should enjoy Torchlight II, and at a third of the price of Diablo III (at least on the Switch), Torchlight II is a great alternative. With full multiplayer support, both local and online, unique pets based on your console of choice and so many quality of life updates geared towards console players, Torchlight II is an ARPG worth picking up. Overall the Nintendo Switch version of Torchlight II is excellent. Difficulty scales to present an even greater challenge and loot is instanced for each player.
